Abstract

The primary objective of the study was to investigate the effect of moderate aerobic training and Moringa Oleifera leaf powder (MOLP) on High-density lipoprotein (HDL) and cardiac endurance among males. One hundred (100) volunteer male participants of age group 38.9 ± 6.7 years were randomly enrolled for the randomized clinical trial. The participants were divided into four groups i-e control group (T0), moringa group (T1), aerobic group (T2) and Combine Group (T3). Moringa Oleifera leaf powder was given 3 gm to the T1 and T3 daily for five days a week for 12 weeks, while the T0 continued a normal diet routine. HDL pretest mean value of three interventional groups T1, T2 & T3 (37.00 ± 3.10 mg/dl) and the control group mean value (36.72 ±1.67 mg/dl) was noted.  HDL post-test means the value of interventional group T1 (41.80 ± .816 mg/dl), T2 (42.08 ± 1.28 mg/dl) & T3 (43.40 ±1.77 mg/dl) and control group T0 (36.28 ±1.86 mg/dl). Beep test value of pretest of three interventional groups T1, T2 & T3 (7.4 ±.598) and control group T0 (7.4 ± .571) were noted. The beep test means the value of the post-test of interventional groups T1(10.1 ±1.24), T2 (10.2 ± 1.25) & T3 (12.0± 1.18) and control group T0 (7.3 ± .67). The collected data were statistically analyzed with the help of software SSPS 23 and Mini tab version 16 through paired sample t-test and ANOVA. It was concluded that moderate aerobic training and MOLP have a positive effect on HDL and cardiac endurance among the interventional groups (T1, T2, & T3) but more significant improvement in T3 and no improvement was observed in the control group.
